Kelly Meighen was born on 8 November 1949 in Cambridge MA, just outside Boston.

Currently she is active at the Stratford Festival of Canada where she serves as Chair of the Board of Governors. She is President of the T. R. Meighen Foundation of Toronto, and is Vice Chair of Upper Canada College. She lives in Toronto and is married to Senator Michael Meighen. They have three sons.
